Joe Satriani will kick off his long anticipated UK & Europe Tour on October 16th at Vicar St. in Dublin, Ireland. The UK tour will include engagements in Manchester, London, Birmingham and more. This is followed by the European Tour which will kick off in France with dates in Paris, Roubaix and more. Additional touring plans include the Netherlands, Italy and Spain, with even more in the works. The guitar-heavy show, an homage to both the music from and inspired by the late great Jimi Hendrix, will take place in 18 U.S. cities during March, 2010. Chuck Klosterman: [Laughs] Well, I can’t play any musical instrument, so it would be great to play guitar for a half hour. And I suppose if I was going to play guitar for a half hour I’d want to get the most notes maximum. So I’d probably want to be Joe Satriani. SATRIANI RECEIVES GRAMMY NOMINATION
Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani received his 15th Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for his song "Always with Me, Always with You." The 50th Annual Grammy Awards are set to air February 10, 2008 on CBS.
